What does LG30 stand for?
What is the LifeGuard30™?
The LifeGuard30™ is a complete system designed to provide the storage and transportation of medical information to be used at the scene of an emergency while accessing the health of a patient. You will be able to digitally confirm the patient’s identity, medications, allergies, medical conditions and so much more. The LG30 device is also equipped with our exclusive LifeSupport™ system that ensures the patient’s medical information is accessible even when the LG30 device is damaged, missing or becomes inoperable.
What is LifeSupport™?
LifeSupport™ is the back-up system to the LifeGuard30™. It was designed for use when the LG30 device is damaged, missing or becomes inoperable. You can use LifeSupport™ to retrieve all the same information that’s stored in the patients LG30 device, including positive photo ID, personal information, medications, allergies and medical conditions. Remember that the LifeSupport™ system can be accessed at any time by texting the patients LifePin™ (located on the patients LG30 devices, wallet ID card, refrigerator decal and the medical ID bracelet) to 66530, entering the LifePin™ online at www.LifeGuard30.com or by calling our 24 hour LifeSupport™ Operators.
What is LifePin™?
The LifePin™ is each patient’s unique identification number used to grant access to the LifeSupport™ system. A LifePin™ consists of a series of letters and numbers (13 digits). When accessing LifeSupport™ using the LifePin™ you will only be required to use the ten numeric values. Example of a LifePin™: LUS1234567890. If you are using the text back system, talking to a LifeSupport™ operator or accessing a medical record online, you would just use the ten digit numeric values, 123456789, ignoring the letters. Note: The LifePin™ is located on the patients LG30 devices, wallet ID card, refrigerator decal and the medical ID bracelet.
How will I know if the patient I’m working with has the LifeGuard30™?
First, look for visual cues. LifeGuard30™ customers have been issued LifeGuard30™ window decals for their automobiles and their home. They have been instructed to position them on or near the front and back door of their home, and on the driver’s side or rear window of their automobiles.
Secondly, each LifeGuard30™ customer is issued two LG30 devices that they have been instructed to attach to their keys. They also received a wallet card, medical ID bracelet and a printed medical record with refrigerator decal that all contain the customers unique LifePin™.
When I have located the patient's LG30 device, how do I use it?
Once the presence of an LG30 device has been established, locate the device and open the protective leather case. There is an EMT ACTIVATE card attached to the inside of the leather case with specific instructions and illustrations for using the LG30 device and LifeSupport™ instructions. This is also where you will find the patients LifePin™.
To activate, you will notice two pull tabs located on the left hand side of the LG30 device. Pull the white plastic tab from the device, then press the top button, located on the right hand side of the unit, for at least one second to power on the device. Note: If the LG30 device is damaged or becomes inoperable, you can use LifeSupport™ to retrieve all the same information that’s stored in the patients LG30 device, including positive ID, medications, allergies and medical conditions. Remember that the LifeSupport™ system can be accessed at any time by texting the patients LifePin™ to 66530, entering the LifePin™ online at www.LifeGuard30.com or by calling our 24 hour LifeSupport™ Operators.
